I have vivid memories of being flown over by a U2 while my dad was stationed at Kadena AFB.

Memories of suddenly this black plane with seemingly the widest wingspan ever was passing overhead. Like it snuck up on me as it was eerily quiet and that there was only sounds of airflow as it passed over.

Quite the contrast to the SR-71's we'd occasionally take off or land
