There are a lot of factors that are difficult or impossible to account for -- like how age skews according to party registration ...

Rates of COVID infection, and proportion of deaths due to COVID, plus fluctuations in population, increased voter registration, shifting candidate preferences within each party, likelihood of voting in a midterm versus Presidential election, etc. etc.
But given that Trump won Florida by a margin of about half a million votes in Florida (and closer to 470,000), it would take quite a large number of COVID-related deaths to sway the outcome, even if we assume that 4 out of 5 people who die of COVID were hardcore Trump supporters.
