People desperate for a reliable therapeutic will try anything. I actually read a really interesting study that looked at a whole host of medications

that are already approved for other things and if helpful could be repurposed. Like thousands of drugs. I don't know how they tested so many.

Authors narrowed it to three dozen that showed promise and down to 9 (I think) which were particularly effective, at least in a lab setting. It was quite the random assortment too. Ivermectin did not make the cut, but atovaquone did, as did vitamin D3. (I did not know D had numbers.)
