In response to "honestly, that wording sounds like a threat. " by Andie

It's an acknowledgement of a threat, yeah.

I understand what you are saying and I get it, it isn't a great feeling. But neither is being told that you are somehow less "Canadian" if you identify as conservative or Western Canadian and there's no shortage of Central Liberals including JT himself who have no problem leaning into that framing, subtly and directly.

But what is said in the piece is a reflection of what's out there. I'm watching it play out with the Manitoban leadership race* with COVID and PPC in the background. It's not good.

* - To replace Brian Pallister

And despite what people want to believe, there is a subsection of Canadians who don't identify and will never identify with a Liberal/NDP mindset. But the lines are "Fuck you" to each other, not "What common ground can we find?". Again, not good.

I am hoping beyond hope for a dozen CPC pick ups Monday - best case scenario at this point I think - because it gives O'Toole something to hang on to. If not, yeah, it goes to a dark place and I don't see how that isn't a materially bad thing for the country.
