...say "If only the Conservatives elected a normal/moderate/likable leader, it would be good" because the fact is there is no such thing as a normal/moderate/likable Conservative to most modern Liberals and NDP. And if there was someone who is obviously expending tremendous personal political capital to try and get the party towards the issues that modern Liberals and NDP claim they support, it still gets the leader demonized and made out to be just slightly left of Hitler.

There's a structural problem in modern North American (and European) politics. It's been coming for half a century and it is capital B bad for the health of our countries.

If only we could power the world on self-satisfaction.
