Tastebuds change over time, with age and familiarity. Of course, sometimes they don't: Coffee still disgusts me.

With Vanilla Coke, I didn't like it for the first few sips, it was an odd profile. But the tastebuds found it acceptable by the end of the bottle, and now it's OK overall.

This reaction did NOT happen with Pepsi Lemon Twist. That's still the worst soda I've ever tasted.
