Not here they don't. They want to have a schedule but it gets blown up by 6am every day. One of my favorite stories is about how someone asked -- (edited)

a person waiting on the platform when the train was going to arrive. The person on the platform said they didn't know. The other guy couldn't believe that we lived like this with no way to know when the next train would arrive. He wondered how we can ever get somewhere on time if there wasn't a schedule.
A minute or two later the train rumbled into the station.
The trains just don't run on a real schedule here but they do try and keep them running at certain intervals and will do their best to make that happen. But there are so many reasons why a train can be delayed from minor like people holding the doors open so it can't leave the station quickly to something like an emergency brake being activated.
This isn't Japan. Our trains do not arrive on schedule
