I think the format would work well over here. We used to have a lot of comedic panel shows in the 50s and 60s. Today not so much. I watched one last

night actually. To Tell The Truth with Anthony Anderson. It's pretty good but not on the level of the better UK panel shows.
Our comedy and comedians seem to be more confrontational than what I see in the UK and I don't think it works as well in the panel show format. The UK comics seem to take a good ribbing and play along well while here it would tend to lead to the other person coming back at the person making the joke about them.
I don't really know but I do wish we had more panel shows that showcased the comedic talent we have. And we have a lot.
They tried to do Taskmaster here and it didn't work. And it didn't work mainly because of the comedians they chose.
