Tonight I sought out and watched Jack Reacher again, and every time I do I realize more how such a bad movie it is.

But I *really* like it. But it's really bad. Like, there should be a Pitch Meeting about it it's so bad, but not, because it's just not worth doing a Pitch Meeting about.
It revolves around a *construction scandal* and a company with the thrilling name *Oline.* In *Pittsburgh*. Can you imagine CBS launching a single night of Pittsburg PD, Pittsburgh Fire, and Pittsburgh Med? CSI: Pittsburgh? Law & Order would have given more attention to the actual victim than this movie did in twice the time.
Cruise's acting is awesome and *terrible*. (And the writing! Oh snap, he has a perfect memory! Put that on your donuts and choke on it, cops!) He flicks his bus ticket to the driver like it's something he pulled out of a Willy Wonka candy wrapper. He criticizes everyone else but judging by the opening his idea of "living" and "freedom" is banging hookers and watching CNN in cheap hotels while wearing used clothing. Does he wash his socks and underwear in the sink with his shirt?
The mass criminal conspiracy they uncover apparently is one guy giving orders to a half a dozen mercenaries. Is he the lawyer who drafts all of the sleazy construction contracts, and does the accounting? Where are his millions going? Not plastic surgery or prosthetics!
Dewey Crowe lives better than these guys.
