I use the term boss a bit loosely. On any given day I have 3-4 immediate handler/managers, 2 department managers, 1 general manager, 1 unit manager.

It's mostly the lower 3-4 plus the 2 department managers that talk to me.

"Go express"
"Go regular."
"Do this."
"Do that."
"Have you done your monthly videos on (subject?)"
"How are your items per minute?"
"Are those damages/returns?"
"Stand at the end of your register."
"Do you have (random object that goes on registers.)"
"Did you scan (random object that's underneath the basket.)"

I mean, I'm super grateful to be back. I legit am. I've rediscovered some great joys that I'd been missing and overall think I'm a better person for being back. But dear Lord, just let me help the customers. I'm not new even if my name tag doesn't have my 7 year sticker on it.
