I honestly am not feeling this season of Ted Lasso. They are finely acted but the plotting is a disaster to me. (Spoils)

There have been so many suspect items with limited narrative support that I don’t really care about some outcomes.
Very little feels earned without contrivances.
Like the Dubai Air thing…sure a relegated team protests their sponsor and nothing happens? Suuuure.
They make the FA Cup semis while being barely top half of the 2nd tier table? And it’s barely mentioned prior? And it’s a crippling defeat? The best team in the world should crush them.
The Sam/Rebecca thing…no one is questioning her getting it on with her employee? I like them but … there’s nothing that feels organic in the drama in front of them. A rich (but hardly Bezos) rich guy swoops in …. More drama!!! And then she has just leaves him after saying nothing really? For a show about honest communication…lacking.
Nate’s heel turn seems earned but Trent Crimm outing him doesn’t. Shit, there’s 6 people who know the truth. The 3 coaches, Higgins, and Sharon/Rebecca. You can rule the women out, Beard out…Higgins out. If Ted asks both Roy and Nate, Nate would fold up like tissue paper. No way Crimm violates that ethical line over tissue-paper Nate.
Too much of this season has been Ted Lasso: Plot Contrivance.
