in the world of mutual aid, the group that's been doing AMAZING work here is moving forward with a free store. super risky, super exciting.

they have been doing grocery delivery and while that works well, it relies on a LOT of volunteer work. Allie can do 5 or 6 deliveries in a 3 or 4 hours timeframe, so it's not very fast.... they cover a pretty huge area.
the new plan is to move into an area of access by our (poor) public transportation and have a free store - open normal hours, everything is free (probably have a per-person limit on items), but it's there. they'll do deliveries as they can, but this will give more access to more people.
it's radical, it's risky, and i'm all for it :) they need $30k to get started, so fundraising is going to be big.
