We have a mine up near Utica where you can go mining for Herkimer diamonds. They're really quartz but still pretty. I want to go to NC to their

emerald mine that's open to the public. It's the only emerald mine in the US and I absolutely love emeralds. It would be cool to try and find even a tiny piece of one on my own.
