I watch some airline wags on YouTube who have been talking about the looming issue for airlines.

The "we need planes that don't exist" is a curious conundrum but it's spoken about frequently.
FWIW, if Bombardier could have just held out for a couple more years, Their new CSeries would have made them billions. It looks perfectly positioned to fill many needs. Instead, Airbus is going to get all the glory.
