The fascinating aspect of it to me is how you could easily work the system because of how indistinguishable many of the low profile coins are.

If you're in the red on SpawnCoin, sell it, and immediately put the proceeds into GroinCoin, you can still claim the loss on your taxes even though you remain fully invested in fluff. That is not "working as intended."
