I wonder how that all is determined?
Morningstar lists around 25K securities in their Mutual Fund Universe
on the other hand, the EDGAR CIK database download has over 40K securities listed

Actually, I bet Morningstar goes by ticker, so includes each class of a fund separately. -- nm
