I'm so sorry. Having to constantly fight for the things your child needs at school is maddening and exhausting.
Sometimes I thought I'd won a certain fight only to find out that a teacher or the school just wasn't following through on what was promised. Sometimes the fight was already predetermined by the school board, the county or the state.
I know it's different countries and different coasts, but the struggle to get kids with autism the help they deserve is the same. I'll be cheering you and your whole family on through this. If you ever want to vent or talk, send me an email at cobrasoze @ gmail.
Update: My son is now in his first semester of community college, and despite not receiving any accommodations yet, has high Bs in all his classes so far.
