I like Casino Royale. I would love Casino Royale with a very easy. It's like watching a soccer show and seeing stupid soccer stuff. (spoils)

So, James and the bad guy are playing and there's a poker hand were the bad guy 'figures him out'...
Board is Ace, King, King, Jack, Jack.
James has Ace King
Other has Jack Jack.
Somehow, Bond getting eliminated on this hand is treated as though he's terrible. No poker player alive folds that full house thinking he's beat...it's just sometimes, the luck goes against you. There's literally 2 hands that beat you (Ace-Ace or Jack-Jack).
Yet Vesper refuses to back him saying something like, "You're a bad bet James."
WTF ...
Now, easy easy fix that fits poker and the character who is a bull in a china shop who thinks he's smarter than everyone else but is still a rookie.
He has something like Ace-nine since he thinks he's figured out the Bad Guy's tell...he's got a decent hand, but nothing special. He pushes all in an loses on an objectively bad play.
That serves the narrative of the movie, and also stays true to the character without being a shitty dumb poker moment.
