In response to "—I hear ya from a journalist perspective…from an NFL insider, he trades on favors for getting information, first -- nm" by flavorize

There's a line you don't cross and giving your subject the whole story before you publish so they can add to or change your story is not acceptable.

I know he needs to be friendly and do favors for people so he can get access but this isn't that. This is going too far and compromises his integrity as a journalist.

I can't trust his stories going forward and if I was ESPN and this isn't our policy then I'm firing him before the day is over.
