I've settled on Alexa for my stuff. I have things like "Let's cook" set up which turns on all the counter lights in the kitchen + the sink and stove

lights. I can do "Show me the front camera" or "Show me the doorbell" to see my Ring camera on my Fire TV or Echo Show. It all works reasonably efficiently with little difficulty.
