First I’d stop framing his opinions as “having a fit”. That works almost as well as “calm down, you’re getting hysterical.”

He’s a Democrat in a state that’s seen it’s voting history go from 65% Dem to 65% GOP in 20 years. If you think for a moment West Virginian values are the same as liberal values, you couldn’t be more mistaken.

He has zero faith that the Democrats can sell their agenda because he’s seen 20 years of selling turn his state ruby red. You wanted a liberal agenda, win the 51st and 52nd seat to marginalize him and Sinema.

But that overlooks the idea the Democrats lost every close race in November, often by a lot. It was Stacey Abrams and DJT’s whining that allowed the Dems the majority.
