My high school had a fairly strict dress code for a public school, that's a special kind of stupid.

No long hair on boys.
No facial hair (eventually relaxed to allow mustaches).
No shorts or sweats (except in PE).
No bare midriffs.
Probably some stuff for the girls too but that wasn't relevant to our family. :)
