got kicked out of one internal group (because they didnt want to be the bad guys putting him on a performance plan) and dropped into two other groups (one of which I manage stuff in).
So far he is frustrating the crap out of everyone in this group, which is short staffed (hence why they assigned him to us) but it isnt a net positive result, as others are having to take up the slack for the stuff he just doesnt do (or doesnt understand).
and he is being added to all my jobs to replace someone who left last month, and its going to be a very frustrating process for me.
