One of my clients has this very idea.
|
Portland has a huge amount of parking lot space around the ports on the Willamette River, space that was used in the past to offload vehicles being imported from Asia.
Client's idea is to use that space to offload unused shipping containers and then convert them into modular homes and offices. If they can make the cost structure work, they could start construction in a couple months.
