It's beyond frustrating that they don't see the bigger picture when it comes to safety and environmental policy. -- (edited)

Electric cars are still cars and building them is still a very dirty and environmentally bad thing. They're also very dangerous for everyone, especially pedestrians and cyclists. We should be doing a lot more to encourage people to use alternative means of travel.
There wasn't much if any mention of public transit in any of this. Nothing for rebates for people buying regular bikes, e-bikes or scooters. We should be encouraging people to buy them and use them with those rebates. But they're not there and I'm not surprised.
