IF ONLY. it was like that until maybe 2014, depending on where you worked. my old mining giant employer (which was notorious for Friday lunches)

now has a not quite zero tolerance policy. basically "if you're drinking you probably shouldn't come back to the office." there was a fair work case about treating office and site employees differently, and they ruled the policies have to apply across the board, so now even a lot of the city offices have random drug and alcohol screening (my office had one a couple weeks ago, but ours are pretty much always a midweek morning).
also: Glencairn glass, because then it tastes better. what am I, a barbarian?
