one couple brought in a magnum of champagne and poured glasses for the chefs, another couple handed over a couple bottles of beer when they sat down, the third apparently knew the owner who brought out a bottle of champagne for them, and they offered to share it with the staff. And we were just sitting there, drinking our sake and minding our own business.
We've been going to this place for years, and it was our first time back since covid. I've noticed similar in the past on occasion, but they cut the number of seats at the bar in half for distancing, so I guess it's just more pronounced?
