I feel like the conversations about COVID are largely ignoring the situation is localized now more than ever.

In some places, it's currently not something you have to consider as prominently as you did last month, or three months ago. But that changes. And Americans are far too preoccupied with other things to monitor something that changes. Especially when there is a portion of the population that has made it their post-Trump last stand.
