256 is a shitton. If price is a concern, 128 is still a great deal of space.

Among Us and Minecraft are very inexpensive until you start getting to the add-ons for Minecraft I’d imagine. (I’ve never played.)
First party games go on sale more than they used to. But it’s never as deep a discount as non-Nintendo ones. And as much as I think I’d go physical, I seem to be pretty locked into digital purchases these days.
I’d highly recommend using eshop cards to fund in-app purchases so there is a known money cap.
