"Tim, is it a backlog of people who avoided the doctor during the height of the pandemic or....? Like what's driving it?"

It’s a combination of more people going to the doctor, a lack of staff, and a goofy process change.

It’s also the height of flu season, and I absolutely fucking called it 3-4 months ago that they’d end up ok 3rd doses smack dab in the middle of that and not staff properly.. We can’t do walkins for vaccines anymore, I don’t give a shit what the website says. I have one pharmacist for 600+ prescriptions and 50 vaccine appointments. He can’t eat lunch and doesn’t get to go the bathroom in a 13 hour day. Yes, 13 hours. (The one pharmacist thing is something we’ve been screaming about for a few years now. We’re busier than stores that have two. We have years of script counts to back this up and multiple district managers look at it with blank stares.)
