Fun story about my mom and her friend playing detective at her retirement apartment.

Recently there have been some reported thefts.
Someone said their wallet was stolen from their room, someone else said $500 was taken from theirs, and one or two other things.
My mother and a couple other people get a daily newspaper delivered which are currently being left on a desk in the lobby.
Her's had been missing about 4 times over the past few weeks, which she just wasn't that upset about.
Her friend, Ken (she swears just-a-friend) was in the little Bistro room there last weekend and went to throw something out. The *only* thing in the garbage can was the blue plastic bag that the newspapers come in. With my mom's apartment number. He mentioned to her that he must have 'just missed her' in the bistro.
She was all "My paper was missing this morning! We can catch the thief!"
So, they went to management, and said they had to look at the security cameras, which they did, and they discovered that the maintenance guy is the culprit. And, he was also on duty every time something else was reported missing and he has a key to all the units.
Mystery solved! Future crimes averted!
