Speaking of 'just friends', during this past weekend I was invited by FH to go to Disneyland next weekend....and meet her parents -- (edited)

I'd already been to dinner with her sister and her brother in law, met her stepdaughter this past weekend. Those went well and the brother in law and I have a scary amount of common interests so sure why not tag along to a big family outing where it seemed that everyone was bringing their SO

So while I'd met other family members, there had yet to be any direct questions about FH and me. I was guessing that might end next weekend but that became inconsequential in the course of an afternoon as her father died yesterday

and yeah, it was kind of that abrupt.....

He did have health issues and had been in the hospital overnight a couple of weeks ago but that kind of seemed to be in the past
