I didn't know anything about the Eternals storyline going in
- Surprisingly choppy acting given the talent in the movie or the script dialog was woefully inadequate
- Very much enjoyed the discovery of the "mythology" of the Eternals by the end. The journey was a bit off as told through various flashbacks. Definitely saw why it was done that way at the end but during kept jolting you out of the storyline.
- Quite thought provoking at times which is kinda what I expected may have turned off some of the reviewers. It is not as much a flash/bang spectacle as a slow burn build up
- Had far less to do with the MCU Phase 2 than expected from how they tried to link it up in the trailers. Tangentially related and not obvious going forward how it will integrate into what has otherwise been a strong build with Shang-Chi
- The hard lean into some of the character names felt a hokey
- Stay through the end of the full credits of course but I had to look up what it meant (again)
