I have a stagnant pension account at my former employer that I probably want to lump sum into a traditional IRA anyway, so I guess that's fine.

I didn't want to deal with having a traditional and trying to figure out how much I could back door.

If you have a traditional you really can't back door without tax leakage. I had to roll mine into my 401(k) to be able to do it. -- nm - spamlet Nov 5, 07:12 3
