I don't get the spreadsheet so I do the scan and pluck technique.

I look at everyone in my conference with Good or Exc for Local.
Then for other conferences I scan the steals and blocks stats and when I see something that looks interesting I look further at that player. (This explains why my team is +12 for Defense).
