Skoufis is in his 2nd term, he held that Assembly seat (flipping it), and then in 2018 ran for Senate when the previous incumbent retired in his 90s after serving like 10 terms (they all run every 2 years), which was a key pickup in giving the Democrats a firm majority in the Senate after like 30 years (they turned it into a supermajority in 2020).
He went to the high school my dad taught at, and I’ve met him once. And I believe at one point, the current Assemblyman lived in the same condo development I’m in.
