Microsoft are real dicks about letting you change stuff sometimes (but I don’t know about this in particular).

Like when I moved to Australia they wouldn’t let me change the country on my account, which meant everything linked to my old account went poof. Couldn’t access it because I wasn’t in the country my account said I was in, couldn’t change the account. Their support answer was “too bad, set up a new account.”
