And I actually disagree a bit on your point about RR's dominance, but in a good way! Just on the obvious part about The Rock's squeaky clean image, which works nicely in the movie IMO. I saw a certain buddying of them and I hope it stays. If it ensures families to check it out, that actually seems fine. Plus he brings the right action to do *with* Reynolds and later Gadot. He also weirdly provides a moral compass, which I somehow appreciate.
Deadpool's presence in the film and this made a good team for me. Now, The Rock did get a lot of jokes played on him, and a lot by Reynolds! Maybe that proves your point. :) Good writing helped. I think it worked. There were flaws. Whatever. I'm pleased! Hooray!
Oh, and the twist that had to do with The Rock got me. Zunk is right about the laughs. Nice gag originality ratio IMO, I am pleased to say.
