Anything from Woodinville.
I'm not a whiskey drinker, but I have several clients who are, so I keep up on reviews -- especially the Whiskey Tribe on YouTube. Vastly entertaining and informative. You might peruse a few episodes there, too, for suggestions.
Woodinville runs about $50 a bottle out here, but Oregon has exorbitant liquor taxes. I'll bet you could find it for $35 to $40 near you. And the bottles themselves are a work of art.
Westward American Single Malt usually goes for $60 a bottle out here, so I'd expect around $40 to $45 near you.
