As I watched it, the defense attorney objected and brought the theory that Apple products (like the iPad the prosecution want to use) had an

algorithm that would change an image. When I was watching live, the judge stated he didn't know and wanted the prosecution to bring in an "expert" to dispute this. Note the judge did not ask the defense to bring an expert, just the prosecution. The judge, at that time, stated he didn't know. Of course the prosecution had no time to get an expert.
The next day I was not watching live but saw replay of some nonsense from the judge about text messages. In any event the prosecution was denied showing a zoomed image.
Because the defense was smart enough to know the judge would believe such garbage.
