Our board members can only serve 2 consecutive terms of 2 years each before they must sit out at least 1 year before being nominated again. -- (edited)

Board of 25 (including the executive board). So we get a fair amount of turnover.
The Exec board has a 1 year term for each Pres and VP position. The other exec positions don't, to my knowledge, have a term limit.
The 2nd VP moves up to VP who moves up to President when the current President's 1 year term ends. A new person is recruited to be 2nd VP. The current president and a former president are encouraging me to take on the 2nd VP position. Another previous president and the current VP think I should, too.
It's so far out of my comfort zone, though.
