In response to "If everyone starts buying EV, what happens to all the gas cars? Loose all there trade in value I'm sure. Could they be converted?" by zeitgeist

There are currently conversion kits, but they are expensive. Most likely that'll remain the case

Will probably only be used in restomods.

ICE cars will quickly go from majority new sales to majority used sales, then minority used sales. The cars themselves will become extremely cheap on the secondary market because supply will be high, but demand low (minus collectible worthy cars), but the cost to operate will increase due to maintenance, oil needs, and cost of gasoline.

EVs should come down in price as the economies of scale kick in and more makers/brands/models enter the market.

Whether ICE has a quick death or a slow death depends on how quickly battery manufacturing can be scaled up. Even Tesla struggles to meet demand for their cars due to the current supply of batteries. That's the current bottleneck and any legacy maker who wants to survive the transition is going to need to figure out that new supply chain. While also dealing with stranded assets related to engine manufacturing.
