Ehh, pasta's cheap. I like having the nicer bowls to eat it out of. :-)

Regular bowls work fine but with a pasta bowl you get a better distribution of the sauce and other toppings. In a regular bowl it tends to pool at the bottom or you have to try and mix it up which tends to lead to pasta coming out of the bowl.
