I just donated $25 to the Knox County Democratic Party yesterday. I did so because they sent out this (proudly gloating) email:
"Friend --
Did you hear??? Democrats won BIG in this month's city council election!!
Thank you for everything you did over the past few months to keep our progressive City Council members. We saw a CLEAN SWEEP against the GOP.
Now that the City Council Election is over, all eyes are on the county and we need your support. Winning in the county is possible, but it will take a lot more work."
I live in TENNESSEE.
What I would politely suggest is that rather than wasting resources worrying about the uncontrollable, you seek ways to help spread the message and aid would-be candidates in potentially close voting areas. It's a healthier, more productive means of dealing with something that obviously stresses you out.
