Ya know...in thinking about it. realistically...you could force both the company AND the driver to file claims (example inside)

I wrecked my father-in-law's piece of shit truck a few years back.
When it came down to it...I filed a claim with my insurance and covered it all, so he didn't have to file with his.
But in that case...either my (the driver's) or his (the vehicle's owner) insurance would have covered it.
In fact...they both could have been filed.
And if you have that many cop witnesses...I'd almost guarantee a check for $3000 and a hearty thank you to come from the business owner.
