Heard something interesting from my boss today.

As alluded to in the past, my position at work has gone through some changes lately. Without going into detail, within the same department, I had one boss, now I have a different boss. In meeting with a much higher up boss, my boss was asked “What’d you do to Raul?” “We let him out of his cage.”

To say that I tolerated my previous boss is to put it politely. It’s astounding to me that a boss’s management style would be so stifling as to actually keep an employee who wants to excel from actually being anything more than average.
