So in the past 30 days or so, I met FH's stepdaughter, got invited to meet the parents at Disneyland, met a parent at Disneyland as well as

her brother in laws family. Went to Thanksgiving with her mom, sister and her sister's family. The day after Thanksgiving went to funeral for her Day. Visited the graves for FH's brother as well as her husband.

Had the moment of shock and still processing that according to the dates on the headstone, her husband was born about 4.5 years before I was. I guess that partially explains that other than bringing up that I don't look my age, the age difference between FH and I has never been brought up by her family. How in the world am I the relatively young guy?

I kind of met her Dad's family at the subsequent reception as well as met her stepson and his girlfriend

Really met her Dad's family the Sat after Thanksgiving at a Jewish service? ceremony? held at her uncle's house.

Hoo boy..that was a stranger in a strange land experience. I think it only took me about 20 minutes, 3-4 prayers to kind of figure out the rhythm of Hebrew so that I could kind of follow along with the English text in the prayer book. I spent the individual / silent prayer moments reading the interpretations / translations on the opposing pages that were apparently meant for ignorant heathens like myself.
