I feel so bad for him because I know where this is coming from:
the unit in which he worked in 2018 and 2019 had just terrible leadership. those leaders just happened to be women. he left that unit beacuse of the terrible leadership and has been working (for a woman) in my unit since.

nobody in our unit has ever voiced any concern, but the leadership of his previous unit found out about his candidacy and torpedo'd him.

it's pretty shitty.
