Yup, I just haven't gotten any aircraft yet. I am in love with the Gungoose, though.

If you watch YouTube videos, you can get around the map pretty easily without a vehicle. There's a noob cube/grapple trick that will launch you into orbit.
Somebody's already speed run the game in 130 minutes because of glitches like this.
