This is the one I use. I like spicy but it's optional. I think it was originally a Sunset Magazine recipe and I've used it for years.

London Broil – about 3lb
1 cup Soy Sauce
1/3 bottle Wright’s Hickory Flav. Liquid Smoke
2 tsp Crushed Garlic
Black Pepper
Tabasco or Red Pepper Flakes to taste.
Buy a London Broil with as little fat as possible, freeze until firm and trim all visible fat (marbled pieces can be used for stew). Slice diagonally, against the grain, a little less than ¼” thick.
Combine the remaining ingredients and marinate the slices for about an hour – if they started out frozen they should completely thaw during this time.
Place in a single layer on dehydrator trays and dehydrate until dry, rotating trays periodically. I believe they can also be spread on racks and dried in the oven – not sure of the temp, but very low – but I’ve never tried this.
